B.D. Dahiya

B.D. Dahiya is a partner of the firm since its inception in 1979 with many years of professional experiences both within and outside of India. Mr. Dahiya has a B. Arch degree, 1975 from School of Planning & Architecture, New Delhi, India. He has travelled extensively in many countries including Asia and the American continent. He has been the past Chairman, Indian Institute of Architects (NOIDA Centre), 1998 – 2000 and Associate member of the same. Mr. Dahiya is a Registered Architect with Council of Architecture (COA), India.

Besides Mr. Dahiya’s professional involvement he is also involved in many voluntary organizations and frequently participates as Academic Jury member in various Architectural institutions.

P.R. Mehta

P.R. Mehta is a partner of the firm since its inception in 1979 with many years of professional experiences both within and outside of India. Mr. Mehta has a B. Arch degree, 1976 and Post Graduate Diploma in Architecture (P.G. Diploma in Arch/ Urban Design), 1979 from School of Planning & Architecture, New Delhi, India. He has travelled extensively in many countries including Asia, Africa and the European continent.

Mr. Mehta has been the past President, Council of Architects (COA India) a Government of India oversight Agency related to academic standards and professional practice of Architecture under Ministry of Human Resource & Development/ HRD, 1997 – 2004. He is a Registered Architect with Council of Architecture.

Mr. Mehta has represented India internationally within and outside of India in many professional forum including GATS conference/s. He is a member of many professional organizations such as member research council CBRI Roorkee, fellow member Indian Institute of Architects, member Lait Kala Academy New Delhi, Advisor Delhi Urban Arts Commission/ DUAC, professional advisor Architect of the Year Award India. He has been Jury member in many high profile projects including airport terminals in India

Besides Mr. Mehta’s professional involvement he is also involved in many voluntary organizations and was the pioneering force behind installation of 15,000 shelters for rehabilitation of earth quake victims of Gujarat in 2001, 2500 transition shelters post Tsunami disaster in Sri Lanka in 2007 and many others.

Mr. Mehta is the recipient OF Hellen Keller award for services to Disabled Persons in 2003. He has co-authored a book on Solar Passive Architecture with Dr. N. K. Bansal, IIT, Delhi, sponsored by MNES 2003 and published many other professional papers.

Arup K Das

Arup K Das is the Director of Design & Program Management. He is a partner with DAK & DAG Project Management and Engineering Services (P) Ltd (an allied company of Design Action Group) with many years of professional experiences both within and outside of India. Mr. Das has a B. Arch degree, 1982 from School of Planning & Architecture, New Delhi, India and a Masters Degree in Architecture/ M. Arch. 1986 specializing in Advanced Building Technology for System Buildings & Project Management from SUNY, Buffalo, New York, USA. Prior to joining Design Action Group Mr. Das had been extensively working in the USA in multitude of projects both as a Design and a Project Management professional for over 25 years. He has travelled extensively in many countries across the globe.

Mr. Das with his many years of international and his Project Management experiences has enabled Design Action Group to participate and work together with many International firms on various efforts.
